Methods Mice were divided into treatment group and blank control group, treatment group were given to mice fed Danshitong capsule contents, blank control group was given distilled water, by gavage volume of 0.5 ml/20 g, 4 consecutive days, the E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus suspension were injected into mice intra-abdominal infection caused by continuous observation of the death of mice 7 days and calculate the median effective dose (ED50) and 95% confidence limits. Results In the control group mice all died within 24 h in the treatment group may be part of the survival Danshitong capsule of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli ED50 and 95% confidence limits were 215 mg / kg, 143 ~ 316 mg / kg and 1309 mg / kg, 771 ~ 4591 mg / kg. The mice of the blank matched control group were infused into stomach with distilled water, 0.5 ml/20 g weight.
