Methods 50 patients with hyperlipidemia, age, gender, body weight and their matched healthy controls, 21 cases were determined using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay fasting serum resistin concentration in peripheral blood leukocytes by flow cytometry using CD55, CD59 expression. The results of hyperlipidemia in patients with fasting serum resistin levels increased compared with normal controls (P amp;lt;0  05), serum resistin concentration in women than men (P amp;lt;0  05), resistin and serum total cholesterol was positively correlated (r = 0  297, P amp;lt;0  05), and body mass index, waist-hip ratio, blood glucose were not correlated with the complement regulatory proteins CD55, CD59-positive cells, mean fluorescence intensity and the percentage of no relevance. Multiple regression analysis waist-hip ratio is the average fluorescence intensity of CD55-positive lymphocytes were independent predictors, waist circumference is the percentage of CD55-positive monocytes were independent predictors. Conclusion hyperlipidemia in patients with elevated fasting serum resistin levels, there are gender differences, and with the serum total cholesterol was positively correlated, suggesting that resistin may be involved in lipid metabolism disorders. Hyperlipidemia complement regulatory protein expression were down, and with the waist-hip ratio, waist circumference was negatively correlated closely, suggesting that obesity, especially central obesity can affect the expression of complement regulatory proteins.
