Methods: January 2007 ~ October were treated in VSD infants with severe PH 18 cases, 12 males and 6 females, aged 3 to 11 months, the average (7.0 ± 2.9) months, weighing 3.9 ~ 8.0 kg, average (6.5 ± 1.2) kg. All are in cardiopulmonary bypass in children with ventricular septal defect repair. Results: The patients with no death. Postoperative complications occurred in 9 cases, of which two cases of low cardiac output, arrhythmia in 2 cases, 2 cases of atelectasis, pulmonary infection in 2 cases of double infection in 1 case. Review in January after color Doppler ultrasound, in addition to four cases of mild PH, the remaining pulmonary artery pressure were normal. All children were discharged after operation. Conclusion: Careful preoperative preparation, cardiopulmonary bypass surgery to reduce the damage, after strengthening the respiratory management, and appropriate hemodynamic support and adequate mechanical ventilation in infants with severe PH in children with VSD successful treatment of the important guarantee.
