 PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 10 Medical images in the location of epileptic foci [Abstract] Objective: To analyze patients with refractory epilepsy Positron emission tomography (PET), video-EEG (VEEG), intracranial EEG, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), to explore the application of positioning equipment. Methods: 75 patients with intractable epilepsy (male 52, female 23) patients, age (30.6 ± 18.3) years, underwent VEEG, interictal PET and MRI examination, 51 patients had surgical treatment, of which 14 cases of intracranial electrodes buried surgery, according to Engel grading and assessment of efficacy of surgical treatment, comparing PET, MRI, and VEEG epileptogenic foci in the preoperative positioning accuracy and analyze the relationships between them. Results: 70 patients with epilepsy in the interictal PET abnormalities of brain , 5 cases no obvious abnormalities in brain metabolism. PET lesion lateralization rate is higher than VEEG, FDG PET detected lesions with low metabolic rate is higher than MRI. Conclusion: Interictal PET for the sensitivity and accuracy of the positioning epileptic foci than MRI and scalp EEG, scalp EEG, MRI and PET combined to determine the lesion site, select the efficacy of surgical indications and forecasts.
