Conclusion The method is simple, sensitive, accurate, and can be used for soy isoflavones in Chinese medicine and health food more than the determination of two components, and product quality control. Methods An Agilent zorbax SB-C18 column (4.6 mm × 150 mm, 5 μm) was applied. The gradient mobile phase composing of acetonitrile and 0.2% formic acid was used as the mobile phase, and the flow rate was 1.0 mL / min, detective wavelength was set at 255 nm. Results The results were obtained that quantitative line range of two isoflavones is 0.24 ~ 1.82 μg and 0.040 ~ 0.30 μg respectively , and the average recovery (n = 5) is 97.38% and 97.25% respectively. Conclusion A specific, sensitive, simple and reproducible HPLC method was established for the determination of the two isoflavones in functional foods.
