[Results] isolated from the red bean curd 2 strain was identified M-1 is a bundle hair red aspergillosis (M.pilosus), M-3 is a red yeast Monascus (M.anka). [Conclusion] The red bean curd isolated pure culture of red yeast fungi. [Method] Based on eosinophilic and ethanol tolerant characteristics of Monascus, stains were isolated from red furu by culturing on malt juice medium containing alcohol and rice medium containing lactic acid . Strains were purified using logarithmic plate dilution method, and then determined genera according to their micro-morphological characteristics.By culturing on malt extract agar medium with temperature of 25 degrees Celsius, strains were identified to species based on the morphological characteristics of colonies. [ Result] M-1strain isolated from red furu was identified as Monascus pilosus and M-2 Monascus anka. [Conclusion] Strains isolated from red furn are Monascus fungi.
