Conclusion: LRP in NSCLC primary multidrug resistance (MDR may play an important role in detection of LRP to predict effect of chemotherapy in patients with NSCLC, chemotherapy may assist the clinical selection of some significance. [Keywords:] non-small cell lung cancer, multidrug resistance, lung resistance protein; gene expression [Abstract] Objective: To investigate the expression levels of LRP mRNA in patients with non small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) as well as their clinical significance.Methods: RT PCR semi quantitative method was used to detecte the expression levels of LRP mRNA in tissues samples and corresponding adjacent normal lung tissues of 60 patients with NSCLC. T Test, One Way ANOVA, Kaplan Meier survival curve and log rank test analysis were used for statistical analysis. Results: The expression level of LRP mRNA was significantly higher in NSCLC tissues than that in adjacent normal lung tissues (P = 0.000). LRP mRNA expression level was significantly higher in lung adenocarcinomas than in squamous carcinoma (P
