Methods There were 11 patients with bone infarction. All cases were examined by MRI. Results 19 lesions were calculated in 11 patients. There were 10 lesions on distal segment of femur, 8 proximal segment of tibia, 1 distal segment of tibia. 8 cases were defined as early bone infarction, 3 cases were defined as middle or late bone infarction. All of the 19 lesions presented typical ‘ map-shaped’manifestation. Four of these cases showed obvious’ double-line’sign on T2-weighted and fat-suppression imaging. Conclusion MRI manifestation of early bone infarction has characteristics. MRI can be used in the early diagnosis, especially for the clinically suspected patients.
