Keywords: adult pairs of twins; heritability; smoking; drinking Analysis on heritability of cigarette smoking and alcohol drinking in adult twins in Qingdao city Abstract: Objective To discuss the impact of inheritance on cigarette and alcohol consumption in twins.Methods Based on zygosity identification, the heritability of cigarette and alcohol consumption were studied in 503 pairs of twins, aged ≥ 24 years, who were voluntary to participate in this study.Holzinger analysis was employed to estimate the heritability of cigarette and alcohol consumption.Results The heritability estimated for cigarette smoking was (66.5 ± 5.53)%, heavy smoking was (43.0 ± 5.75)%, the Kappa consistency test was K = 0.453 ( P lt;0.001) in
