Methods Albumen was specially removed from CSF by HiTrapTM Blue. Then, CSF samples with and without albumen were compared by 2 DE . Results About 200 spots in normal CSF and 30 spots in CSF without albumen were found by 2 DE. Lots of proteins were lost in CSF after albumen depletion. It was difficult for the vestigial proteins 2 DE map to present the protein composition of CSF . Conclusion Lots of proteins are lost when albumen is removed from CSF, which will affect CSF 2 DE analysis results.
