 PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 2 Retired Veterans Mental Health Survey [Keywords:] Retired Veterans; mental health; Symptom Rating Scale To understand the Retired Veterans of the characteristics of psychiatric symptoms, targeted to carry out psychological counseling, psychotherapy, we have 183 retired army cadres conducted a symptom checklist evaluation, will now report on the results as follows. An object and method 1.1 Object object for nearly two years, I have retired army veteran hospital rehabilitation services, a total of 183 were male and 152 female 31, aged 63 ~ 82 (70.68 ± 4.44) years of age, all objects have denied past history of mental abnormalities and family history. 1.2 Methods mental health was measured by symptom checklist (SCL  90) [1]. Symptom self-rating scale composed of 90 questions, including somatization, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, hostility, terror, paranoia, psychotic nine factors for each take 5 scale (1 no, 2 very light, 3 moderate, 4 neutral, 5 severe). The results using the PLA Fourth Military Medical University, developed DXC  Ⅳ type of psychometric instrument unified assessment, calculated for each factor score and the number of positive items. High and low points of the various factors to assess the mental health level, and with the Chinese normal norm [2] to compare the use of social science statistical package SPSS 10.0 software for statistical analysis. 2 Results Table 1 shows that the retired veteran cadres from the SCL  90 survey results compare with the Chinese norm normal subjects, in addition to interpersonal sensitivity and paranoid factor scores of difference between the two was not significant (P
