PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 15 Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on spatial learning and memory ability in Author: Chen Dengbang on behalf of the Xia Lu Tsang Chun LAI Yan 【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) on spatial learning and memory capacity. Methods The Morris water maze test and compared the control group and rTMS treatment group the changes in spatial learning and memory. The results place navigation test in the incubation period of rTMS treatment group than the corresponding extension of the control group, with statistical significance. rTMS treatment group in Central swim time / total time, the Central swim distance / total distance from the platform quadrant swim distance / total distance from the platform quadrant swim time / total time less than the control group, but no statistical significance. Spatial probe test in the rTMS treatment group after the original platform, the number of times, the Central swim time / total time, the Central swim distance / total distance, the original platform quadrant swim distance / total distance, the original platform quadrant swim time / total time with the corresponding control group had no statistical significance. Conclusion rTMS diminished spatial learning ability in rats, but rats no significant role in spatial memory. 【Key Words】 repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS); Morris water maze; spatial learning and memory; rat Abstract: Objective To determine the effect of rTMS on spatial learning and memory in rats.Method The changes of spatial learning and memory in rats of rTMS group and control group were observed with Morris water maze. Results In the fixed position location navigation trail, the latency of exposure of rTMS group increased significantly compared with control group. The percentages of the time and distance spent in the middle and platform quadrant of rTMS group displayed no significant differen
