Methods were treated with ureteroscopy for impacted upper ureteral stones in 246 cases, in which retrograde transurethral approach to treat 186 cases, cis-percutaneous renal micro-approach 60 cases of fistula. Results retrograde transurethral approach for surgical success of 173 cases (93%), the average operation time was 35min, the average length of stay 5d, no stone rate of 81.2%, 22 patients required ESWL adjuvant therapy, surgical complications occurred in 9 cases (4.8%); Shun percutaneous renal micro-approach operation is successful fistula 60 cases (100%), mean operative time was 55min, the average length of stay 8d, no stone rate was 100%, no operative complications occurred. Conclusion retrograde and antegrade ureteroscopy treatment for impacted upper ureteral stones have a higher success rate of surgery and postoperative stone-free rate; antegrade approach the safety and effectiveness of the better, but the operative time and hospital stay more long.
