Selenium vitamin C on lipid peroxidation induced by fluorine Research Progress
[Abstract] China is the world’s more serious endemic fluorosis one of the countries, about 1 million people affected to varying degrees, so prevention and treatment of endemic fluorosis has attracted attention of many researchers. In recent years some studies have shown that , selenium and vitamin C intake can affect the fluoride-induced lipid peroxidation. In this paper, selenium and vitamin C on lipid peroxidation induced by fluoride and its mechanism are reviewed, and further research put forward.

(School of Public Health, Guangdong Pharmaceutical College, Guangzhou, Guangdong 510310, China) Abstract: China is one of countries entangled by the severe endemic fluorosis in the world, with about one million people affected in different degrees; therefore prevention and treatment of endemic fluorosis has caused the attention of many researchers. Some recent studies had shown that selenium and vitamin C intake could affect the fluoride induced lipid peroxidation. Selenium and vitamin C on lipid peroxidation induced by fluoride and its mechanism were reviewed in this paper, and the further research was prospected.
