Abstract: The task-based teaching is a task as the main means of emphasizing the learner’s task to mobilize the enthusiasm and initiative to improve communicative language ability, so that students learned language naturally. Discussed in college English teaching in the need for the implementation of task-based approach and to empirical research methods explored in college English teaching in the feasibility of the implementation of task-based approach and its effects. Teaching practice results suggest that the task-based teaching methods in China’s college English teaching in the implementation is necessary and feasible. It stimulate students interest in learning, students learning strategies, improve their communication skills, to develop students self-learning ability and research capability, and overall to improve the skills of students in English are very effect.

Task-based approach since the 80s of last century has been proposed, in Western countries is widely promoted and used. In recent years in China, the task-based approach is also cause for concern. Some of our experts and scholars on the task-based approach was introduced and comments, and in college English teaching task-based teaching has been studied and discussed. However, in my college English teaching, task-based teaching practice has also not been widely under way. Therefore, further understanding of the substance of the teaching task-based research task-based approach in college English teaching in the necessity and feasibility is very important, in favor of the adoption of better teaching, better teaching results.
