NMET task, the nature, purpose and content of From 1995 until the country (except Shanghai Foreign) unified entrance examination questions in English, called the National Matriculation English Tes t, referred to as NMET. NMET task is to select talented people, NMET the nature of the selection of (norm-referenced) tests require standardization, demands for higher reliability and validity, the necessary and appropriate degree of difficulty of distinction. Likewise, any examination, with the ultimate purpose is not limited to the examination itself, but rather the backwash of teaching. NMET as a national examination for secondary school English teaching is bound to have backwash effects. After a few years of practice, NMET have been and continue to secondary school English teaching reform in our country plays an active guiding role.
