It has been a major industrial concern around the world about the environmental issue and laws passed in many countries. With the reference of EU ROHS, many countries have set up their own similar regulation. In this paper, the function, potential harm and existent form of the halogen and its compounds in different Electrical and Electronic Equipment are introduced. Then the various regulations and the content limits of halogen-free electrical and Electronic Equipment are summarized, which may give some guide for the companies to reach halogen-free level in future.
