教学目标:
词汇:deep,mile, tour guide, separate, in fact, continue, reach, world-famous, wisdom;
重点句型:How big, how long, how wide; how sick, and so on; How wide is the stone? How long is it? 学会描述物体;
二、教学重点:
1. 词汇:wonder,king, death, cover, cover an area, side, foot, be made up of, weigh, ton, thousands of, without, BC, complete, protect, alive, length, height, material;
2. 学会描述物体:How wide is the stone? How long is it?

四、课前准备:
图片,课件,学生分组,
五、课时安排:2 课时(每课时大约35-40分钟);
六、教学过程:
Step1: Learn the new words: deep,mile, tour guide, separate, in fact, continue, reach, world-famous, wisdom;
First, the teacher asks the students to read by themselves, then ask them to read after the teacher three times, then asks the students to read by themselves again. About five minutes later, check them, ask two students to read the words to the class. And the teacher should say Good when they finish reading.
Step2: Turn to page89,DEVELOPING SKILLS
Pair work,describe the following questions after the model.
Let the students complete the three pictures below, when they finish
Doing, ask three students to say his or her answers to the class.
And the teacher c heck the answers orally.
Step3: Listen to the dialogue between a passenger and a member of the airport ground crew, and complete the following dialogue. sc
The teacher plays the record for three times, for the first time, the students only listen; and the second time, they should complete the dialogue; and for the third time, the teacher plays it slowly, and makes some explanations and check the answers.
Step4: Describe the following wonders of the world, use the word and picture cues below.
Model:
The CN Tower is in Canada. It is 553.33 meters in height. It is the world’s tallest structure of its kind. The workers began the project in 1973 but did not complete it until 1976.
Now let the students look at the following pictures, and the teacher asks three students
