M ethod s AECs were obtained by collagenase and trypsin digestion m ethod. 10, 20, 40 ng/mL ep idermal grow th factor (EGF) and 10 ng/mL basic fibrob last grow th factor were added separately to the culture media, inverted m icroscope was used to observe the cell grow th and proliferation, and the optmi al cond ition for prmi ary culture ofAECswas obtained. The prmi ary cells culturedw ithout grow th factorswere served as controls. The expression of hepatocelluar specific proteins such as album in, cytokeratin-18 ( CK-18), alpha-1 antitrypsin (AAT) and alpha-1 foetoprotein (AFP) in cultured cells and histological sections w ere detected by mi munohistochem ical staining.
