INTRODUCTION the refractive index of the colloidal spheres determine the spectralpositionofthebandgap.Thecombinationofthese densecrystalstructures(fccorRhcp)withthelow-refractive index of most monodisperse spherical colloidal particles (latex,silica)resultsinanincompletebandgap(pseudogap orstopband)[7],thatis,agapwithpropertiesdependingon theincidenceangleoftheimpinginglight.Inthisstudy,we presenttheangulardependenceofthe?uorescenceemission ofemittersembeddedinPCs.Ourinvestigationsshowthat theangulardependenceofthepseudogapcausesashiftin boththemaximumof?uorescenceintensityaswellasinthe reducedemissionoftheembeddedemitters.These?ndings canbeu
