Changes in FI and FP in atherosclerotic patients’ PBLs following exposure to various stimuli have established the role of the immune system in atheroscleroticdisease.TheCellScanhasbeenevaluatedasadiagnostictoolfordrug-allergy,basedonFPreductioninPBLs followingincubationwithallergenicdrugs.FIandFPchangesincancercellshavebeenfoundtobewellcorrelatedwiththe cytotoxiceffectofanti-neoplasticdrugs.Inconclusion,theCellScanhasavarietyofapplicationsincellbiology,immunology, cancerresearchandclinicalpharmacology.
