Basalcellcarcinomaisthemostcommonlyseennonmelanomaskincancerwhichisrarelyencounteredinthechildhoodperiod. An11-yearoldchildwasadmittedtoourclinicduetoanerythematousandaslightlypigmentedlesionwitha3×4cmdiameter onhisposteriorscalp.Macroscopically,thelesionwasexcisedwitha10mmsafetymargin.Pathologicexaminationrevealedabasal cellcarcinoma.Nosymptomsorsignsofasyndromewereobservedbothinthepatientandhisfamily. 1.Introduction pigmentedplaquelesionapproximately3×4cmindiameter on the posterior scalp (Figure1). Excisional biopsy was done with a 10mm surgical margin. On histopathologic examination,thereweretypicalnodularbasalcellcarcinoma tumor islands with ulceration localized in the dermis. Asymmetrically growing solid nodules in the dermis with connectionstoepidermisatsomezoneswereseen.Frequent mitoses were noted as well. Retraction artefact between tumor nodules and the stroma were visualized. Adenoid di?erentiation and pigmentation were observed, as well (Figure2). No recurr
