Theycontainhighamountsofβ-cryptoxanthinandhesperidin.WehavedemonstratedthatCHRPand/orMJsinhibitchemically inducedratcolon,rattongue,andmouselungtumorigenesis.GavagewithCHRPresultedinanincreaseofactivitiesofdetoxifying enzymesintheliver,colon,andtonguerats’.CHRPandMJswerealsoabletosuppresstheexpressionofproin?ammatorycytokines andin?ammatoryenzymesinthetargettissues.Thispaperdescribesthe?ndingsofourinvivopreclinicalexperimentstodevelop astrategyforcancerchemopreventionofcolon,tongue,andlungneoplasmsbyuseofCHRPandMJs. 1.Introduction [4,9–12].Itisknownthatcertaincarotenoidsand?avonoids can inhibit cancer development in animal carcinogenesis models[4,1
