Multidisciplinaryteam(MDT)modelincancercarewasintroducedandendorsedtoensurethatcaredeliveryisconsistentwith thebestavailableevidence.Overthelastfewyears,regularMDTmeetingshavebecomeastandardpracticeinoncologyandgained thestatusofthekeydecision-makingforumforpatientmanagement.DespitethefactthatcancerMDTmeetingsarewellaccepted by clinicians, concerns are raised over the paucity of good-quality evidence on their overall impact.
