Our associationstudyfortheSNPsintheCTLA4genein2640GDpatientsand2204controlsubjectsconfirmedthatCTLA4isthe susceptibility gene for GD in the Chinese Han population. Moreover, the logistic regression analysis in the combined Chinese Han cohort revealed that SNP rs231779 (allele frequencies p=2.8161029, OR=1.35, and genotype distributions p=2.75610 ,OR=1.42)islikelythesusceptibilityvariantforGD.Interestingly,thelogisticregressionanalysisrevealedthat SNPraybethesusceptibilityvarianttoGDintheShandongpopulation;however,SNP,rs231779intheCTLA4 geneprobablyindependentlyconfersGDsusceptibilityintheXuzhouandsouthernChinapopulations.Thesedatasuggest thatthesusceptibilityvariantsoftheCTLA4genevariedbetweenthedifferentgeographicpopulationswithGD. 29 Citation: ZhaoS-X,PanC
