The present study utilizes the rhesus monkey, a close relative of humans,andemploysdiscretegestationalexposureoffemalemonkeystofetalmale-typicalTlevelsfor15–35daysduring early-to-mid(40–76days;n=7)orlate(94–139days;n=7)gestation(term:165days)bydailysubcutaneousinjectionof theirdamswith10mgTpropionate.Suchgestationalexposuresareknowntoenhancemale-typicalbehavior.Inthisstudy, compared to control females (n=19), only early-to-mid gestation T exposure virilizes female external genitalia while increasing2D:4Dratiointherighthand(RH)bymale-likeelongationofRH2D.RH2Dlengthand2D:4Dpositivelycorrelate withandrogen-dependent anogenital distance(AG), andRH2D andAGpositively correlate withduration ofearly-to-mid gestation T exposure. Male monkeys (n=9) exhibit a sexually dimorphic 2D:4D in the right foot, but this trait is not emulatedbyearly-to-midorlategestationTexposedfemales.X-raydeterminedphalanxmeasurementsindicateelongated fingerandtoephalanxlengthinmales,butnootherphalanx-relateddifferences.DiscreteTexposureduringearly-to-mid gestation in
