This paper is aimed at the analysis of the constructivist theory to explore how to build a university based on the constructivist theory, a new model of English teaching. 1. INTRODUCTION ‘College English Curriculum Requirements (2004 Trial)’ The promulgation and implementation, so that college English teaching mode is from the traditional teacher-centered, simple mode of imparting knowledge of language teaching to student-centered, not only to knowledge of language learning, students pay more attention to the practical application of language ability and self-learning ability of the paradigm shift.
