Recent studies have observed that offspring of older fathers have longer LTLs. We explored the relationbetweenpaternalageandoffspring’sLTLsin4differentcohorts.Moreover,weexaminedthepotentialcause of the paternal age on offspring’s LTL by delineating telomere parameters in sperm donors. We measured LTL by SouthernblotsinCaucasianmenandwomen(n?3365),aged18–94years,fromtheOffspringoftheFraminghamHeart Study(FraminghamOffspring),theNHLBIFamilyHeartStudy(NHLBI-Heart),theLongitudinalStudyofAgingDanish Twins(DanishTwins),andtheUKAdultTwinRegistry(UKTwins).UsingSouthernblots,Q-FISH,andflow-FISH,wealso measuredtelomereparametersinspermfrom46y
