Intheseatedposition,IJVscollapse,whileVertebralVeins(VVs)increasethevenousoutflowandpartiallycompensatethe venous drainage. Spinal Epidural Veins are an additional drainage pathway in the seated position. Colour- Doppler- Sonography(CDS)examinationisabletodemonstrateIJVsandVVsoutflowindifferentposturalandrespiratoryconditions. ThepurposeofthisstudywastoevaluateCDSquantificationofthecerebralvenousoutflow(CVF)inhealthysubjectsand patientswithmultiplesclerosis(MS). Methodology/PrincipalFindings:Inagroupof27healthyadults(13femalesand14males;meanage37.8611.2years), and52patientswithMS(32femalesand20males;meanage42.6612.1years),CVFhasbeenmeasuredinclinostatismand intheseatedpositionasthesumoftheflowinIJVsandVVs.ThedifferencebetweenCVFinclinostatismandCVFinthe seatedposition(DCVF)hasbeencorrelatedwithpatients’status(healthyorMS),andanumberofclinicalvariablesinMS patients. Statistical analysis was performed by Fisher’s exact test, non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test, ANOVA Kruskal- Wallistest,andcorrentropycoefficient.ThevalueofDCVFwasnegativein59.6%ofpatientswithMSandpositivein96.3% of healthy subjects. Negative DCVF values were significantly associated with MS (p,0.0001). There was no significant correlationwithclinical
