Methodology/Principal Findings:Wehaveanalysed96paraffin archivedspecimens,including6cuttingneedlebiopsies and3fineneedleaspirates,frompatientswithsuspectedAEorCEwiththemonoclonalantibody(mAb)Em2G11specificfor the Em2 antigen of E. multilocularis metacestodes. In human tissue, staining with mAb Em2G11 is highly specific for E. multilocularismetacestodeswhilenostainingisdetectedinCElesions.Inaddition,theantibodydetectssmallparticlesofE. m
