Methods:Fivehundredandsixnon-clinicalmiddle-agedworkingindividualsratedthemselvesontheself-report FrenchversionFMIandcompletedmeasuresofpsychologicalconstructspotentiallyrelatedtomindfulnesslevels. Results:Resultswerecomparabletoresultsoftheoriginalshortversion.Internalconsistencyofthescalebasedon theone-factorsolutionwas.74,andtest-retestreliabilitywasgood.Theone-dimensionalsolutionasthealternative tothetwo-factorstructuresolutionyieldedsuboptimalfitindices.Correlationsalsoindicatedthatindividuals scoringhighonmindfulnessarepronetostresstolerance,positiveaffectsandhigherself-efficacy.Furthermore, subjectswithnoreportsofstressfuleventswerehigheronmindfulness. Conclusion:ThesedatashowedthatmindfulnesscanbemeasuredvalidlyandreliablywiththeproposedFrench versionoftheFMI.Thedataalsohighlightedtherelationshipbetweenmindfulnessandstressinanadult population.Mindfulnessappearstoreducenegativeappraisalsofchallengingorthreateningevents.
