Methods:BehaviouralmeasuresandEventRelatedPotentialswererecordedwhileparticipantsperformedthe DVAT. Results:Behaviouraldatashowedarobusteffectthatdistinguishedcompatible/incompatibletasks.Theeffectsof valenceandcontextualassociation(betweenfacialandsemanticstimuli)showedearlydiscriminationinN170of faces.TheLPPcomponentwasmodulatedbythecompatibilityoftheDVAT. Conclusions:ResultssuggestthatDVATisarobustparadigmforstudyingtheemotionalinterferenceeffectinthe processingofsimultaneousinformationfromsemanticandfacialstimuli.
