[Abstract] COLSEC (Chinese Learners Spoken English Corpus) contains the College English Test 6 Oral test corpus, the corpus from one side of a true reflection of some of the characteristics of spoken and level of learners. First, the nature of the word blocks and research value
From Saussure to Chomsky, linguists tend to language only as an isolated, according to rules of grammar vocabulary combination of the independent body, ignoring the language but also with memory-based communication in a combination of the phrase. Thus, in the interpretation of language learning and language teaching when it ignored the importance of learning and mastering phrases. With the rapid development of corpus linguistics, lexical chunks of language acquisition and application of the status and role of the field of linguistics has become a topic of increasing concern. Domestic and foreign scholars from different angles of this particular linguistic phenomena were studied and analyzed. As the researchers point of view and focus of research is different from the terminology they use is also varied, such as: block structures (chunks), the words of sentence stem (lexicalized sentence stems), word phrase (lexical phrases), pre-build or semi-constructed phrases (preassembled phrases), word strings (lexical bundle), prefabricated composite structure (ready make complex units), Linguistic Programming (speech formulae); and so on. By contrast, the Chinese scholars in the study of the linguistic phenomenon of language use are not the same, generally speaking: the word block; stylized language; idiomatic language; prefabricated chunks.
