Corpus and basic English Education Abstract: This paper introduces the concept of corpus, emphasizing the annotated corpus in language teaching purposes, and with plenty of evidence from collocation of language, with parts of speech, etc. Note the significance of corpus right to basic education. Meanwhile, the paper proposes to strengthen basic education in the field of corpus studies, so that corpus in the field to play a bigger role in promoting the further development of China’s basic education in English.
