The status of land use around Beijing Metro Line 1 stations are analyzed using GIS package. With passenger volume analysis of Beijing Metro Line 1, some existing pro lems are addressed. The interactive relation- ships etween passenger volume land use are analyzed from the aspects of the potential impact on surrounding land use from rail transit construction, and the relationship etween the land use plan and passenger volume of rail tran- sit. Finally, some suggestions are proposed for land use along rail transit corridor.
