Methods RFA was und rtak n in 18 pati nts w ith liv r canc r includ ing 12 cas s of h patoc llular carcinoma and 6 cas s of h patic m tastatic carcinoma. T n pati nts und r w nt RFA intraop ration and 8 pat i nts r c iv d p rcutan ous RFA . Tw ntyfour canc r foci in 18 cas s ranging from 2 cm to 8 cm in diam t r ( m an, 4. 2 cm) w r tr at d. Results Slight to middl liv r dysfunctions in all pati nts w r obs rv d on th first day but r turn d to normal on t h s v nth day aft r op ration. During th followup p riod of 3 to 8 months ( m an, 4. 2 months) , compl t d n crosis w as obs rv d in 21 nodul s.
