Abs tract: By calcu lating e lectric vector po tentia,l the f ield distribution can be obtained fo r the leaky coax ia l cable
( LCX w ith inclined slots. T he theoretica l va lue o f LCX . s coupling loss is com puted, and smi u lation is execu ted for
special cond itions. The relationsh ip betw een the structure o f LCX and its electric-m agnet ic fie ld and coup ling loss is
stud ied. The conclu sion is that when the ang le o f the inclined slots is P/ 4, the coupling loss is the sm allest and the
radiated energy from LCX is the largest, providing theoretical basis for optmi a l design o f LCX.
