T he results show that biostyr f ilter can significantly mi prove the raw w ater qua l-i + ty, and the average rem oval rate of turbidity, COD , NH -N reach 43% , 2 8% , 76% , respectively. Back- M n 4 w ash influence on the COD rem ova l is re lative ly g reat, the COD rem ova l effic iency is 7% at the t mi e 1 h after Mn M n backw ash, and it needs 12 h to recover 25% o f the efficiency that it perform ances before backw ash.
