Scope of Application 1.1 This procedure is compiled in accordance with the requirements of Code Section I 、 Section V and Section ⅧDivision 12. 1.2 In accordance with this procedure a pulse-echo type of ultrasonic instrument shall be used for Code product examination. Single probe, angle beam scanning shall be the principal method, if necessary, straight beam scanning may also be used. All scanning methods used are manual. 1.3 This procedure is applicable for ultrasonic examination of butt-welded, full penetrated joint in wrought (rolled, drawn, forged or extruded) material with thickness equal to or greater than 5/16in.(8mm) detecting, locating and ev
