The proposed method is applied to the stochastic analysis of cablestayed bridges during erection . A sensitivity study is conducted for the effects of different material and loading parameters on the deflections of the girder , the displacements at the top of the towers and the cable forces. The concept of reliability is proposed for elevation control of the bridge girders , with variations of relevant parameters being taken into consideration , and an analysis method presented correspondingly . Application to the Yamen Cablestayed Bridge il lustrates the success of the method in the construction control of cablestayed bridges.
