[ Abstract] The extent of protein ubiquitination decides the fate of prote皿There are two kinds of enzymes for intra- cellular protein ubiquitin modification ,one of them is an enzyme which can enhance a specific protein ubiquitin ,the other is an enzyme which can deubiquitinate a particular protein ubiquitin. These two types of enzymes maintain the 80% - 90% of normal protein in the cell metabolism. A growing number of evidences support these two kinds of en- zymes abnormalities have strong associations with the occurrence and development of tumor. USP7 is a deubiquitinat- ing enzyme. A large number of articles reported that USP7 has widely participated in the progress of tumor. Here ,we retrieve the literatures of the USP7 relation with tumor in recent ye缸s. We systematically review its role in the effect and mechanism of tumorigenesis and development ,and point out the problems existing in the research and the devel- opment in the future.
