To quan titatively evaluate degree s of innovation and un derstand the evo lu tionary p roce sse s that are invo lved, it wa s found nece ssary to app ly the theory and m ethod s of d if feren tial equation s. The relation sh ip between educational ou tcom e s and the learn ing environm en t wa s con sidered, and ba sed on th is a simp le differen tial equation model wa s bu ilt to rep re sen t a single innovation typ e. Fu rther differ en tial equation s were bu ilt to increa se the typ e s of education modeled, includ ing comp lem en tary, comp etitive and alternative. B a sed on th is, stationary po in ts, nonstationary po in ts and the condition s for stab ility of the model were derived. Th rough analysis of the model, it wa s concluded that educational innovation is a stationary system w ith op tim al conform ing condition
