Construction Engineering CollegeKunming University of Science and TechnologyKunming 650093China Abstract ：Different from manufacturing industry ，technology innovation in construction industry is temporary and fragmented in organizational level. These features impede knowledge exchange and performance of innovation. Based on survey of technological cooperation practice in domestic construction firms，influencing mechanisms of technical cooperation on innovation performance are discussed from the perspective of contract governance. The results show that technological cooperation among construction firms will significantly promote performance of innovation. Different governance mechanisms have different effects. Formal contract governance has positive effects with inverted U shape while relational contract has positive effects linearly.
