About the Association of Collecting Clubs Serving Collecting Clubs Societies, their leadership and members. The Association of Collecting Clubs was established in early 2002, shortly after Americana Resources, Inc acquired the National Association of Collectors. Initially, ACC has four major objectives. The first primary objective is to support collectors and the National Association of Collectors. Second, to strengthen and assist existing collecting clubs, societies and associations and to help those collectors desiring to establish new clubs. It is doubtful that any collecting club has a problem which is truly unique. Most clubs, regardless of the collecting area they support, have some of the same problems and challenges, and some of the same opportunities, as other collecting clubs. ACC will assist club leadership in addressing many of these areas together. The third major objective of ACC ties to the second goal, that of helping to build club coalitions and networking with allied collecting groups to address the sameness that many clubs have regarding their challenges and their opportunities. Some of these area include: club leadership models, membership recruitment and club promotion, reproductions, appraisals, club conventions, club management finances and legal ramifications for clubs. The fourth objective is really an umbrella over the other three, but goes further. ACC will become a vehicle for helping collecting clubs to serve a major partnering role in the antiques and collectibles industry. The membership of any club or society joining ACC will automatically be members of NAC as well, having all of the privileges of NAC individual members.
