Chen (CM CP) A coal moisture control process (CMCP) is used to adj u st the moisture content of int ake coals in a pre-coking process to increase the coke production, enhance the coke quality, and reduce the coke oven CMCP energy consumption. The characteristics of coal blend with various moisture contents were explored and the qualities of the produced cokes were evaluated. The evaluation result facilitated the strategic decision of the CMCP at CSC. Early in the development of the CMCP, many operation problems had occurred such as fire hazard, CMCP poor coal moisture control, coal fine emission and drastic increase of carbon deposition.
