A Little Clever Deer(聪明小鹿)
A Little Clever Deer(聪明小鹿)1. A little tiger came out for food. He saw a beautiful deer. The tiger asked him,“Hi,why do you have so many spots on your body?Whats the use of the branches on your head?”
2. The deer was clear that the tiger wanted to eat him. He said,“The branches on my head are the forks for eating tigers; the number of spots on my body shows the number of tigers I have eaten.”
3. With these words he pretended to attack the tiger. The tiger was so frightened that he turned round to escape.
4. Nearby there lived a fox. While they were talking,he thought how to get something from them. Then the fox stopped the tiger.
5. “King Tiger, who frightened you so much?” After the tiger told him what the deer had said, the fox said,“You were fooled by the deer. Lets catch him for our breakfast.”
6. The tiger didnt believe him. The fox said,“If you dont trust me,tie our tails together. Once he eats you,I myself will be killed.” Then the tiger agreed.
7. When the deer saw the tiger and the fox coming up to him with their tails tied together,he realized what had happened.
8. “Oh,dear fox,” the deer said,“thank you for sending me a tiger to eat ...” Hearing this, the tiger turned round to run away. As a result, the fox was killed by being dragged along.
