Abstract For three-phase Boost-PWM rectifier, the conventional control is not perfect under
unbalanced source voltages and unequal input impedances. This paper presents a new control scheme,
which can avoid the disadvantages of conventional controls and achieve better results. Firstly, a model
of the rectifier is found which releases the restrictions of source voltages balanced and input
impedances equaled requested in conventional control. The three phase current commands can be
computed out under the situation of the output power constant. Subsequently, the current errors, which
are differences between their commands and feedbacks, are decomposed into positive and negative
sequences and, by still reference frame transform of three-phase to two-phase, the positive and negative
sequences are controlled respectively. Finally, simulation and experimental results are provided to
illustrate the scheme.
