Performance evaluation of small software companies
In recent months, Ive been talking with some friends about how to evaluate performance of software developers in small software companies and found that many of my friends are worried about it. As I am in charge of performance appraisal in a small software company, I have some successful practical experience, so I am here to share my experience with you. These experiences may be limited to small software companies, because some methods only conform to the characteristics of small software companies. If you work in a large software company, then this performance review article may have nothing to do with you.
The small software company I refer to here refers to a company below 50 people. Because of the number of software companies and the number of employees offered by the Ministry of industry and information technology, 50 software companies should be small companies. And from the 2007 China software independent innovation report, we learned that in the local software enterprises, with 50 employees, the following enterprises accounted for 60%. In such a proportion, how to do well in the performance evaluation of small software enterprises and improve the competitiveness of enterprises is more significant than that of large-scale software enterprises. In fact, smaller software companies lack performance reviews, or lack of quantifiable performance measures, relative to large software companies.
