They have to submit valid off ersf or manuf acturingj obs within a short time. The supp ly p rice is decisivef or getting the manuf acturing job. Theref ore, a method of quotation costing has been develop ed to increase the accuracy of costp lanningf or sheet metal parts . A sof tware system is being develop ed which imp lements the algorithms of this method starting with the analysis of the CAD-model. The manuf acturing of sheet metalp arts in large scalep roduction is mostly done with p rogressive dies, the cost estimations for such tools are normally based on the p late sequence. To avoid the time and the costs of designing the plate sequence bef ore getting thej ob, a sp ecial calculation method based on Artif icial Neural Networks is usedf or the cost estimation of p rogressive dies. In connection the direct labour costs are calculated by accounting the estimated resource consumptionf or tool manuf acturing. Fast and p recise p ricing is done by the system under consideration of material costs, workcenter costs, overhead costs and pricing strategy.
