The st dy foc sed on: the proced re of disposal and treatment; the ann al prod ction and types of medicalwastes; the relationship between the n mbers of inpatient and o tpatient and the amo nt of medical waste; the amo nts of Chinese medicine resid e generated by per inpatient and o tpatient per day; the composition of the medical waste and the ratio of infectio s waste to ho sehold likewaste. Meas res of improvement of the disposal and treat ment were s ggested.
